Kilo Kitchen in Bali

It’s hard to miss this magnificent tree with its gorgeous network of trunk and roots as well as branches which seemingly protect the entire Kilo Kitchen Restaurant from the elements.

The restaurant’s architecture was clearly designed and built around this stunning specimen.

Once inside, the ambiance is a heady mix of concrete textures, a sea of green plants, and eccentric animal art – it’s an urban jungle brought to life!

After some deliberation and suggestions from friends over a slightly boozy brunch, I decided to render this tree sketch with unconventional bursts of colours to reflect the energy of the space.

Magnificent tree outside of Kilo Kitchen

Did I mention Kilo’s very original 1-for-1 cocktails during their happy hour everyday from 3-6pm?

It’s the perfect way to bask in the beauty of this place while enjoying their fusion food offerings. 😉
