In Chiang Mai for a quick weekend getaway and couldn’t miss a day trip to Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest peak.
Named after King Inthawichayanon, the last ruler of the Lanna Kingdom, the national park is known for its cloud forest with cool air, misty views, and hill communities like the Karen tribe who’ve been cultivating Arabica coffee here for generations.
Somewhere along the way though, it was a small, totally random moment that stayed with me. A souvenir store’s stray dog napping peacefully in the parking lot near Wachirathan Waterfall.
Completely unbothered, completely still.
Maybe that’s the pace of this spiritual place.
